Indoor Hitting League Rules
1. EVENT START DATE
LEAGUES ARE 6 WEEKS LONG
A. LEAGUES START PLAY NOVEMBER 3RD
i. Games to be played Sunday & Monday evenings
ii. Times to be set after teams/individual signups are completed
iii. SIGN-UP DEADLINE IS OCTOBER 30TH
2. DIVISIONS (SOFTBALL & BASEBALL)
A. DIVISIONS ARE FOR BOTH TEAM & INDIVIDUAL COMPETITION
i. 11 yrs – Under
ii. 12 yrs – 14 yrs
iii. 15 yrs – Above
3. TEAM COMPETITION
A. TEAMS CONSIST OF 5 PLAYERS
i. Teams play head-to-head each week
ii. Teams will play 4 rounds
iii. Highest point total gets team a win
iv. Standings will be posted
4. INDIVIDUAL COMPETITION
A. SAME DIVISIONS AS TEAM PLAY
i. Players will face off each week
ii. Go head-to-head for 4 rounds
iii. Highest point total wins the round
iv. Standings will be posted
v. Point leaders also posted
5. COST
A. FEES MUST BE PAID PRIOR TO COMPETITION
i. Team: $200 per team ($40 per player)
ii. Substitutes: $10 extra per night used (Player needs to be listed on team sheet)
iii. Individual: $30 per player
iv. Individual already on team: $15
6. GAME PLAY RULES
A. SCORING POINTS FOR THE WIN
i. Face the automated pitching machines
ii. 10 pitches each round for each player
iii. Netting split into 3 sections and assigned points
1. Fair ground ball – 1 point
2. Bottom 3rd of netting (under Orange line) – 2 points
3. Middle 3rd of netting (between Orange & Red lines) – 5 points
4. Top 3rd of netting (above red line) – 10 points
5. Bulls eye Target – 20 points
iv. Teams will alternate hitters during round
v. Scoring monitored and notated by 3rd party
vi. Sportsmanship expected at all times
B. WINNERS AT SEASON END
i. Team: Team with most wins is Champion of their division
ii. Team: Tiebreaker is total points for season
iii. Individual: Player with most wins is Champion of division
iv. Individual: Tiebreaker is total points for season
v. Trophies awarded to champions
C. POSSIBILITY OF WEEKLY PRIZES
i. To be determined at start of season
